Machine Learning tools are rapidly evolving and changing how IP work is done. While the opportunities to save time and create new value is a welcome benefit, IP professionals now have to consider more tools than ever before and create new processes for working with them. Often this burden is so high that even teams with access to machine learning tools end up using them in only a supplemental way.
Amplified has now successfully helped more than 50 companies transition to AI-first search workflows. In this webinar we’ll share lessons learned from these experiences and discuss how the Amplified approach combines human and machine intelligence to reduce unnecessary manual document review and enable more efficient knowledge sharing within organizations.
Agenda:
Yasuyuki Oikawa is a co-founder of Amplified and is responsible for working with customers to innovate their processes and integrate Amplified into their workflows. He holds a Ph.D. in quantum physics and has more than a decade of experience in Intellectual Property (IP), fundamental research, and technology development. Before Amplified, he worked as an IP specialist at Landon IP and NGB, as a product manager at a venture-backed startup, and as a research manager at Tohoku University. His hands-on experience includes invention process management, patent drafting and prosecution, technology transfer, and research management.
Sam co-founded Amplified in 2017 with a vision to simplify working with patent data radically. Before Amplified, Sam was responsible for expanding Landon IP’s patent search business to Asia and growing the patent analytics business internationally. He has also worked on document automation and natural language understanding at early-stage machine learning startups. Sam is passionate about using technology to augment human intelligence and reduce barriers to patent information. He is a regular speaker on machine learning and the future of IP work.
Anthony (Tony) Trippe is Managing Director of Patinformatics, LLC. Patinformatics is an advisory firm specializing in patent analytics and landscaping to support decision making for technology based businesses. In addition to operating Patinformatics, Mr. Trippe is also an Adjunct Professor of IP Management and Markets at Illinois Institute of Technology teaching a course on patent analysis, and landscapes for strategic decision making. Tony is an influential thought leader in the patent analysis space, wrote the Guidelines for the Preparation of Patent Landscape Reports for the World Intellectual Property Organization, has been named one of the Top 300 IP Strategists by IAM Magazine, and is the developer of ML4Patents.com the industry's online resource for the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence in the field of Intellectual Property.
